City of LaGrange to Partner with Kiwanis Club of LaGrange & DASH for Litter Cleanup Saturday, October 10th, Public Invited to Participate
LaGrange, Ga. October 6, 2020 – The public is invited to join the City of LaGrange for its litter cleanup in the Hillside community, Saturday, October 10th, 8:00-10:00 a.m. The group will meet in the Health Department parking lot, 900 Dallis Street.

This month the city is proud to partner with DASH and the Kiwanis Club of LaGrange.
The public is invited to participate in these events to help in leaving LaGrange better than we found it.
City Manager Meg Kelsey wanted to send a message to the community that the City of LaGrange is serious about cleaning up litter and rolled out the city’s campaign, “Leaving LaGrange Better Than We Found It” in April 2018. The City of LaGrange closed non-essential business the morning of April 20, 2018 and hundreds of employees picked up trash throughout the community. It was received so well with employees and citizens the city now hosts monthly litter cleanups.
The last litter cleanup was held in March 2020 but the campaign was postponed because of COVID-19. This cleanup will be the first cleanup since the pandemic began. Face masks and physical distancing is encouraged. Safety vests, trash bags and gloves will be provided.
